20 years practicing veterinary medicine and dealing with the frustration
of treating the symptoms and not the real cause of disease, I decided
it was time to do wellness. This meant I would focus my attention
on wellness and the importance of a natural diet.
So I opened Pet Care Naturally, a "pet wellness clinic"
and retail store in Shasta, California. Our purpose is twofold.
First, we educate dog and cat lovers about the powerful healing
effects of a natural diet that includes raw meats and vegetables.
Second, we work to transform disease conditions in dogs and cats
to vibrant health and wellness in a safe, natural and affordable
way.
PHD's brochure explains to the animal caregiver that to restore
their pet's health they must emulate the natural diet of the carnivore
by providing raw meats, vegetables and key nutritional supplements.
I had been sharing this with my clients for years, but never heard
of a national pet food company where the total emphasis was on fostering
and creating greater animal wellness and health with a proper diet
that includes raw meats and vegetables! PHD has done extensive research
and clinical trials that clearly demonstrate that approximately
70 percent of the common diseases of dogs and cats can be eliminated
with a natural diet alone.
I learned how PHD developed a cleansing program that gently transitions
the dog and educates the animal caregiver on how to start a pet
on the path to greater health. Healing episodes are fully explained
so a pet owner will understand the transformation that is occurring
as their pet's health is being restored. I finished reading the
brochure, cried in joy and thought I had truly died and gone to
Heaven! Here was the total wellness program that I was looking for!

is gone! It is truly a joy to practice holistic veterinary medicine,
and to know that the animal's body will heal itself with the benefit
of a holistic diet and, where indicated, natural remedies such as
homeopathy, herbs, flower essences, acupuncture and chiropractic!
